Consul General of South Africa in Los Angeles Visits Utah

 

On Thursday, August 30, 2012, Mr. Cyril S. Ndaba, Consul General of South Africa in Los Angeles, visited Utah, in the United States of America, for two days for the purpose of fostering increased trade and business interaction, cooperation between cultures, and the sharing of information and technology.  This exchange was implemented as a bridge between Utah and South Africa. 

After a day and a half of business meetings, Mr. Ndaba was met at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Administrative Building by Ray and Carol Thomas of Church Hosting. He then enjoyed meeting with Elder L. Whitney Clayton of the Quorum of Seventy of the Church. Next, he was taken for a short tour of Temple Square and thereafter, driven to the airport for his return trip to Los Angeles. Mr. Ndaba had, on a previous trip, visited the Temple Square area and the Conference Center.  He was happy to have the opportunity for the follow-up visit and expressed appreciation for the hospitality offered.

Gifts presented:  the book, Our Search for Happiness, folder containing an informational pamphlet about the Church, The Family: A Proclamation to the World, The Living Christ, fact sheet on humanitarian aid given, and the Tabernacle Choir CD, Glory
